About

01 Apr

I was born in a small town of Canada.  I emigrated to the United States when I was a mere 6 years old and have felt like an American ever since although I did not get my US citizenship until the year 2000 when I was 24 years old.  I am married to another American.  We have two girls – one was born in Texas like her Daddy, and the other was born in Peru.  As adults, we’ve worked as teachers in Houston, Peru, and now Japan.  We hope there is much more adventure left in life.

    Take care,

    Suraiya,

This is my work blog, and we are all fine in Kobe. I had my fb account hacked, so I had to delete it. I’ll start a new one in early April. Thanks for your concern. We have a family blog with lots of photos and stories at http://www.welbes.net.
